Metzer · Stereo Zoom & Digital Inspection Microscopes
Metzer stereo zoom and digital inspection microscopes support visual inspection at lower magnifications than typical metallurgical microstructure examination. Stereo viewing helps operators assess surface shape and depth, while camera-based systems display images for shared review and documentation. Choose the viewing format around the component and the way your team works.
Typical uses include component examination, surface inspection, prepared weld-section overviews and image capture for inspection records.

Answers to common questions about stereo zoom & digital inspection microscopes.
Is a digital inspection microscope the same as a stereo microscope?
No. A stereo microscope uses two optical paths for depth perception through the eyepieces. A camera-based digital system presents an image on a display; a digital display alone does not provide stereo vision.
What is working distance?
Working distance is the space between the objective and the specimen when the image is in focus. It affects access for positioning, handling and inspecting a component.
Can the system inspect weld sections?
A suitable system can provide an overview image of a prepared weld cross-section. Dimensional weld evaluation also needs calibrated imaging and appropriate analysis software.
What should I include in an enquiry?
Provide component size, the smallest feature of interest, required field of view, preferred viewing format and any image-recording needs.
Share a component photograph and the features you need to examine. K K Geo System can discuss the Metzer viewing arrangement, stand and lighting options for your enquiry.
